CARRE, Rachel In Loving memory of Rachel Marie Emma Carré (née Filion) 90 years, peacefully Monday, July 24th at the Espanola Nursing Home. Wife of Aurele Carré (predeceased). Loving Mother of André (predeceased) Michel (Kathy), Réal (Tammy), Line (David), René (Carol), Jeanne (Pat). Cherished Grandmother of Tanya, Adam, Daniel, Krista, Matthew, Justin, Michel, Jennifer, Christopher, Eric, Jean-Claude, Gabrielle, Benjamin, Josh, Mandy and Amber.
Lovingly remembered by 20 great-grandchildren. Cherished sister of Andrea (George) and the late Robert and Paul. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Rachel was born in St. Veronique, Québec in 1927. She will be remembered for her dedication to her children, and strong work ethic. Rachel had a passion for knitting, woodworking, gardening, blueberry picking, pinecone collection, fishing and her ability to repair and fix anything.
Rachel was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. The family expresses their gratitude and appreciation to all of her care givers both at home and in the Espanola Nursing Home. Resting at the Bourcier Funeral Home on Friday, July 28th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Memorial Mass will be held at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Espanola on Saturday, July 29th at 10:00 a.m. with Father Raymonde Akor officiating.
Interment of ashes at Matachewan Cemetery, Matachewan Ontario at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Therapeutic Garden for Long Term Care at the Espanola Nursing Home.
