Ida Regina Toulouse Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ida Regina Toulouse (Espanola, Ontario), born in Wikwemikong, Ontario, who passed away on February 7, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Assiniwe and Mary Begnaiasong-Assiniwe-Oak; her husband Samuel Joseph Toulouse; her daughters, Leona and Noella; and her siblings, Rita Toulouse, Madonna Toulouse, Martin Assiniwe, Agnes Sego, Josephine Assiniwe, Bill Assiniwe, Norma Diamond and Victor Oak.

She is survived by: her children, John (Linda) of Sagamok, Louise (Donald Garrow) of Ottawa, May Toulouse of Ottawa, Phyllis (Bob Cantryn) of Vancouver, Sophie (Ray Corbiere) of M'Chigeeng, Virginia (Richard Jock) of Vancouver, Angus (Carol) of Sagamok, Donna (Bentley Morrisseau) of Winnipeg, Julie of Ottawa, Regina (Dennis Borynec) of Ottawa, Derek (Shelley Wemigwans) of Sault Ste and Marie; her son-in-law John Davidson of Lakefield; and her sister Virginia Jackpine. She is also survived by many grand children, great grand children and many nieces and nephews.
