He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Yarkie and Eva Yarkie; his parents-in-law, George and Florence Dudgeon; and his brothers-in-law, Roland Leroux and David Lamond.
He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Darlene, George of Gravenhurst and Sean Yarkie of Englehart; and his siblings, John (Joyce), Beatrice, Evelyn, Pat, Carol (Ken), Audrey (Dennis), Marlene (Larry) and Joanne.
