It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Curwood (Elora, Ontario), who passed away on June 9, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine and John; his siblings, Ian, Thomas, William, James, Catherine (Baillie) and Elizabeth (Elsa Murray); and his siblings-in-law, James Baird and Helen Baird (Smith).

He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, Cameron (Malwina Mencel) and Aileen (Greg Hodder); his grandchildren, Ryan Hodder (Kimmy), Melissa Elst (Benjamin), Colin Hodder and Elspeth Curwood; his great grandchild Olivia Elst; his siblings, Gavin (Carol) and Janice; and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth (James Muir) and Walter Baird. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy donations to The Salvation Army or Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus would be greatly appreciated.

“It's Paul Curwood here from Melbourne Victoria Australia. Today is the 27th of October 2020. I was about to send Ed a long overdue Christmas card. I met Ed through genealogy research and my interest in James Oliver Curwood. He kindly sent me a hard copy of Curwoods worldwide. I am still amazed by this enormous body of work and still don't know how he achieved such a wonderful reference book. One heck of a human being I have to say. My condolences to Anne, and thank you Ed. God bless.”
