She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Kathleen Marie Mortensen (Kevin) of Elora; her husband Bill; her son Paul Francis; her parents, Guy Wheelock Harris and Sarah Catherine of Glace Bay; her grandparents, Neil, Alice McNeil and Mama; and her siblings, Guy Harris (Cathy), James Francis (Eleanor), Kathleen Hawley and Joan Read.

Memorial donations in Betty's memory can be directed the Humane Society of Guelph.
