Joy Fidler Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joy Fidler (Elmwood, Ontario), who passed away on January 27, 2019 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Albert Chenes and Isabelle Des Chenes (Hepburn); her children, Larry (Carole), Dale (Karon), Bruce (Donna), Jo-Anne Jackson (Shane), John (Elaine Young), Susanne Leifso, Dawn Brenndorfer (Alf), Terrilea Fidler and Timothy; her siblings-in-law, Heather Schmidt, Marjorie Schmidt, Shirley Des Chenes, Marion "Esther" Dallas, Rena Fidler and Gerald Fidler (Verona); her husband Ivan; her son Jeremy; her son-in-law Brian Leifso; her grandson Duane; her siblings, June Des Chenes, Mary Wheeler, Bert Des Chenes, Ralph Schmidt and Ray Schmidt; and also Tuberculosis. She was also cherished by the children were young, they began attending St. John's Lutheran Church in Elmwood, and Joy volunteered her time as a Sunday School teacher, teaching not only her children, but also, some of her grand-children.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. John's Lutheran Church, Chesley Hospital Foundation or Brucelea Haven Activation Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
