A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Christian Reformed Church (33 Shirley Ave, Barrie, ON L4N1M9).

As an expression of sympathy donations in memory of Mel may be made to Hospice Simcoe, Barrie or to the "RVH" Hudson Regional Cancer Centre, Barrie and may be made through the Funeral Home.
