He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his great grandchildren, Charles William Harper and Jameson Dale McLeod Stevenson; and his siblings, Margaret, Bob (Marg), Ivan (Leona) and Ian (Pat).
He is survived by: his children, Herbert (Laurie), Alice Stevenson (Gregg), Kathleen, George (Jennifer) and Charlie (Sheri); and his sister Gladys Davidson. He is also survived by his children and extended family.
