He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Contance Hammett (Bell); his parents, Norm Hammett and Marie Hammett; and his siblings, Jerry Hammett (late Nancy), Joan West (late Harry) and Paul Hammett (Barb).
He is survived by: his children, Susan Bredin (Roger) of Whitby, Brenda Gronlund (Patrick) of Waterloo and Scott (Cheryl) of Thamesford; his grandchildren, Edward (Faith), John Bredin (Vy), Emily Croal (Peter), Noah Gronlund (Emily), Kelsey Hammett and Brent Hammett (Maddie); his sister Carol Duff (late Jim); and his brother-in-law Jack Bell (late Edith).
