She was predeceased by: her husband Maurice; her daughter Nicole Asselin Christie; her siblings, Colette (late Aurèle), Ghislaine (late Paul Édouard), Rodrigue (late Lucette), Michel (Ginette) and Jean-Denis (Pauline); and her close friend Mike Andrusyshyn.

She is survived by: her son Gilles Asselin (Suzanne); her grandchildren, Candace (Josh), Thomas (Kayla) and Erik; her great grandchildren, Ryan, Lily, Brennan, Nicholas and Katharina; and her siblings, Jean-Nöel (Pierrette), Martin (Angèle) and Marie (Marcel). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Huron Lodge Day Program in Mado's memory.
