He was predeceased by: his parents, Raoul Gauthier and Thérèse Gauthier; and his siblings, Rachel, Philippe (Eileen McCarron), Pauline and Maurice (Bernice Mousseau).

He is survived by: his daughter Jenny; and his siblings, Noëlla Potvin (late Roland), Marie-Jeanne Côté (Jean-Claude), Raymond (Kiziah Davis), Françoise Savard (Hector), Richard, Berthe Gauthier (Yves St-Pierre), Gaëtane Dionne (Denis) and Rolande Melong (Norman).

Due to the pandemic restrictions, a private internment of ashes service will take place at the Woodlands Cemetery in Elliot Lake.
