He is survived by: his spouse W. Gale Banks (Putnam); his children, Wendy Banks (Mike Smith), Tanya Hammond (Jason) and Joseph Jay Banks (Jennifer); and his sisters, Nina Wiltse, Florence Tate and Joyce Banks.
