He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Way and Jacob Way; his brother Charlie Way; and his brothers-in-law, Buff Sly and Leonard Mallette.
He is survived by: his spouse Gail Way (Chant); his daughters, Julie Dugger (Tom) of Pennsylvania, Jenny MacKinnon (Khris) of Portland and Paula Scott of Portland; his grandchildren, Bridget, Ariel Carbino, Jarred, Jessie MacKinnon, Deacon and Lillian Scott; his great grandchild Chloe; and his siblings-in-law, Bill (Lynne), Neil (Jane), Sandra (David), Brenda (Paul), Ron (Mary), Bonnie (Barry), Sharon (Bruce) and Sheila (Kevin). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Scotland Funeral Home (27 Main St, Elgin, ON K0G 1E0). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Scotland Funeral Home Chapel (27 Main St, Elgin, ON K0G 1E0).
