She was predeceased by: her husband William Smith; her sisters, Margaret Ritchie, Marion Gillespie and Isabel Hunter; her siblings-in-law, Lorne Ritchie, Don Gillespie, Jim Hunter, Ken Gardner, Ross Finlayson, Dave Stewart, Jessie McKellar, Margaret Gardner, Betty Finlayson and Ruth Stewart; and her niece Wanda Hunter.

She is survived by: her children, Robert and Jennifer Smith; her grandchildren, Andrew, Mariana, Matthew and Sofyia; her great grandchildren, Leo, Ava, Zoe, Mia and Hope; her brother Ken; and her sister-in-law Joyce Nicholson of Alliston.
