He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Rivard and Germaine Vezeau; and his siblings, Roger, Rosaire, Gerry and Loretta.
He is survived by: his wife Cécile (Leveillé); his children, François (Yolande), Lionel, Gaston, Huguette (Bar), Réjeanne and Sylvie (Brent); his grandchildren, Eric, Alex, Annie-Claude, Michele, Kristian, Justin, Joey, Allan, Amy, Kina, Daniel, Stacey and Kyle; and his siblings, Roméo, Reina, Jeanne and Arc (Gauthier). He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations in Sylvio's memory can be made to the Community Cancer Care or the Temiskaming Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
