He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Henderson and Clara Henderson (Shoemaker); his wife Betty Henderson (Cowell); his brother Ralph Henderson; and his granddaughter Laura West.

He is survived by: his children, Nancy West (Victor), Alex Henderson and Diana Wilkins (Ron); his grandchildren, Heather West (Len Langelaan), Alex West, Matthew West, David Henderson (Lyn), Michelle Ramsay (David), Ian Henderson, Robert Wilkins (Corinna), Emma Wilkins and Steven Wilkins; his great grandchildren, Adeline Ramsay, Donovan Ramsay and Sydney Wilkins; and also Dutton.
