He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Paton and Flossie Paton (Lilley); his sister Janet Ripley (Ron); his nephew Steven Paul Malott; and his niece Lorrie Murphy.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sharon Malott (Jim) of Southwold, Faye Veraart (Frank) of Iona Station, David Paton (Jeanette) of Dutton, Richard Paton (Cobi) of Iona Station, Teresa Cochrane (Brian) of Strathclair and Brian Paton of St. Thomas. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, and his great nieces and nephews.
