He was predeceased by: his grandson Wade; his parents, Bill Watson and Grace Watson; and his siblings, Mel Watson and Rosina Watson.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Watson; his children, Debbie Watson, Robert Watson Jr. and Bonnie Kelsh (Scott); his grandchildren, Alyssa, Chad and Hannah; and his siblings, Sandy Watson (Florence) and Kathleen Melanson (late Ray).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Dialysis Unit at the Hanover Hospital or Chapman House (Grey Bruce Hospice) would be appreciated by the family.
