He was predeceased by: his brothers, Larry O'Shaughnessy and John O'Shaughnessy. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Barton; his siblings, Beth (Gord Tuck) and Mark O'Shaughnessy (Arlene); and his brother-in-law Russell Noble. He is also survived by children, their spouses and grandchildren and by his nieces and nephews.
