He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley; his daughter Faye MacDonald; and his in-laws, Eva, Clayton Reay, Clarence, Marjorie Vaughan, John, Irene Vaughan, Vera, Gavin Ray, Alfred Vaughan and Alex Vaughan.

He is survived by: his children, Lois MacDonald, Julie (Andy Mueller) and Willard MacDonald; his grandchildren, Tori Mueller (Jerry Reid), David Mueller, Tyler MacDonald, Dylan MacDonald and Jordan MacDonald; his great grandchild Emmett Murray MacDonald; his sister Mary Dale Scales (late Leonard Scales); and his siblings-in-law, Ruth, Ron Schenk, Dorothy Vaughan and Marie Vaughan.
