He is survived by: his wife Christa; his children, Esther (Steve Torry) and Kevin Jaekel (Veronica); his grandsons, Adam Torry, Bryce Jaekel (Erica) and Brandon Jaekel (Hailey); his sister Helga Schnute; his sister-in-law Anita; and his pet Ellie.
