He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Baines and Irene Baines; his brothers, Irven Marshall and Bruce Marshall (late Norma); and his siblings-in-law, John Eden and Pat Marshall.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his sons, Shaun Baines (Jenn Dean) and Scott Baines (Keri Stewart); his grandchildren, Charlotte "Charlie", Cecil, Wyatt, Dalynne, Colton, Logan and Mya; his siblings, Mary (Royden McDermid), Wilda Eden and Glen Marshall (Marie); and his sister-in-law Audrey Marshall. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Durham Presbyterian Church (General Fund), Chapman House (cheques payable to Grey Bruce Hospice Inc.) or the cancer unit at London Health Sciences Centre (cheques payable to London Health Sciences Foundation) would be appreciated by the family.
