He was predeceased by: his parents, Durk Boorsma and Murkje Boorsma; his siblings, John, David, Rints, Gerrit and Margaret Boorsma; and his brothers-in-law, Sybrent Posthuma and Keith Longster.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Boorsma; his siblings, Diane Posthuma, Grace, Albert Van Der Vliet, Ed and Wilma Boorsma; and his sisters-in-law, Clara, Ann Flikkema and Rhea.
