He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law David Hammond (Belinda); his parents, Thelma (Eagles) and Robert "Bob"; and his parents-in-law, Florence and Carson Hammond.

He is survived by: his wife Mary (Hammond); his children, Jeff and Heather (Owen); his granddaughter Ella; his siblings, Dale Ellerby (Jim) and Marlene Millar (Bill); his nieces, Kendra Millar and Connie; his siblings-in-law, Larry Hammond (Linda), Joan Atkinson (late Ron), Stanley Hammond (Jenny), Ralph Hammond (Deidre), Irene Lockhart (late Rod) and Jim Hammond; and his godson Gerrit Hammond.

Memorial donations to the Highway Chapel in Dunnville would be appreciated by the family.
