He is survived by: his wife Penny; his children, Mark, Karen Laverty (Mike) and Ann Cacoilo (Fernando); his grandchildren, Adam, Alison (Ron), Erin Laverty, Andrew, Aidan and Dylan Cacoilo; his siblings, Don Downey (late Carmen), Larry Downey (Barbara) and Linda Pattison (late Alan); and his siblings-in-law, Janet MacGowan (late Ian) and Ben Collver (late Rosemary).
