He is survived by: his wife Lena; his children, Gerald Meyering (Teresa), Dora Scholman (late Walter) and Christine VanderWier (Jamie); his grandchildren, Brandon Meyering (Nicole), Rebecca Bellik (Tyler), Peggy Stewart (Jake), Delaney Meyering, Kenn Scholman (Nikita), Jodi Van Es (Dan), Kimberly Scholman, Tyler, Julia, Logan and Colby VanderWier; his siblings, Hennie Sandee (Huib), Joke DeWit (late Frans), Jan Meyering (Henny) and Rika Lohof (Janna VanderLaan); and his siblings-in-law, Grace Heuvel (late Harm), Nancy Lonsbery (late Larry), Annie and Eli Kok. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and friends.
