He was predeceased by: his wife Willy Gruter; his parents, Philippe Gruter and Frida Gruter; and his siblings, George Gruter, Reit of Mol, Ted Gruter and William Gruter.
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne (Dennis), Tony and Michelle (Michael); his grandchildren, Andrew (Savanaugh), Shirlene (David), Samantha, Matthew, Marcus and Tristan; his great grandchildren, Nevik, Nathon and Benjamin; and his siblings, Hella Gruter and Harry Gruter.
