He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Battle and June Battle (George Georgian); his parents-in-law, Wallace and Estella Sammon (Jackson); his brothers, William and Donald; his brother-in-law Reg Squires; and his great-niece Sydney Battle.
He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Rob, Cindy, John, Lori and Georgie; his granddaughters, Brooke, Jenna and Rylee; his siblings, Dwight (Pat), Judy Squires (Dan Cooper), John (MaryLynne), Jane, Tom (Sheila), Pegge Birdsell (John), Elaine Battle and Linda Battle (Mike Fletcher); his siblings-in-law, Sharon Boan (Robert), Rick Sammon (Judy), Bonnie Summerfield (Jim) and Terry Sammon (Sharon); and his friends, Bruce Kauth and Lorne Brooks. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
