He was predeceased by: his former wife Marija. He is survived by: his spouse Katica "Kathy"; his sons, Joe (Katica) and Damir (Robena); his grandchildren, Caval and Lendrick; his brother Dragutin (Katica); his nephews, Stjepan (Ružica) and Rajko (Albina); his parents-in-law, Bencetić, Topolovec and Baynton; and his cousins, Stanley and Zeljko Pokupec. He is also survived by friends, neighbours, and extended family.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private service will be held with interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Cancer Assistance Program.
