He was predeceased by: his parents, William George Sword and Lillian Jean Sword (Cameron). He is survived by: his wife Wendy; his sons, Eric Sword (Melanie), Trevor Sword, Colin Sword (Nicki) and Brendon Sword (Karalee); his siblings, William Sword (Katie Kucza), Doreen Johnston (Paul) and Gloria Beckner; and his sister-in-law Sherry King (Nigel). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
