He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Ring and Kerstin Ring; and his siblings, Louise Young, Sylvia Ring and Ted Ring.

He is survived by: his children, Deborah Ring (Bernie), Carolyn Ring, Michael Ring (Erin) and Stephen Ring; his close friend Margaret Ring; his grandsons, Matthew and Andrew Ring; his sister-in-law Helen Ring; and his pet Desi. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
