She was predeceased by: her father George; her husband Arthur; and her children, Michael and Rasjad. She is survived by: her children, Patrick (Deborah), James, Mary, Mae, Jean Pierre and Dahlan; her grandchildren, Elanor (Dave), Jonah, Rachel (Robin), Marcus (Annie), Halima (Mike), Harlan (Stephanie) and Sebastian; and her great grandchildren, Malcolm, Miles, Estella, Kiera, Claire, Hana, Reece, Sebastian, Harlow and Raylen. She is also survived by many nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.

In lieu of flowers she requested that donations be made to Doctors Without Borders, Canada action.msf.ca or to St. James Dundas.
