He is survived by: his children, Jennifer (Kevyn Murray), Jordan (Katelyn Witt) and Stacey Witt; his close friend Pamela Mirehouse; his daughters, Kirsten Brown (Michael Gropp) and Hana (Evan Eckert); his grandchildren, James Murray, Lillian, Madelyn Witt, Aubrey and Oscar Gropp; his parents, Florence Witt and Elden Witt; his sisters, Katherine Waldron (Harry) and Patricia Baptista; and his uncle Jeff (UJ).

“Lisa & I were very saddened to hear the news of Jeff's passing. Witter & I were roommates in first year at Queen's. . I recall fondly many nights when we would turn off lights to go to sleep and Witter would say "Matty are you ready for sports trivia?" He would ask me all these crazy sports questions. We would laugh and laugh because he would give me all kinds of funny clues to help me out. He was a first class guy, great roommate and loyal friend. Our condolences to everyone”
