He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Frances Janet Oldham; his children, Kym, Scott, Heather Spence (Doug) and Charlene; his parents, Ewart Oldham and Margret Oldham; his siblings, Jean Nauta (Jella) and Ruth Swan (Ritchie); and his siblings-in-law, Bill Richardson, Noreen Richardson, Don, Lois Richardson, Peter and Laurie Sturm.
