He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred and Adele (Milhausen); and his sister Barbara. He is survived by: his wife Verna; his children, Michelle, Andrew, Jonathan McPhee (Yuka) and Angela McPhee (James); his grandchildren, Jolie Rose, Caitlin, Liam, Lena and Ina; and his sibling Pat McFarland.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Wesley Urban Ministries would be appreciated.
