She was predeceased by: her husband Horst. She is survived by: her children, Marika and Michael; her son-in-law Gary; and her grandchildren, Luke Patey, Riley and Brendan Borger.
Later in life came grandchildren and one would be hard-pressed to find a prouder Granny—then came Alzheimer's and it all trickled away: Alzheimer's is, indeed, pitiless and implacable.
