She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Wilson; and her daughter Christine Wilson. She is survived by: her parents, Morley Knowles and Evelyn Knowles; her siblings, Barbra Olsen and Hugh Knowles; her children, Ian Thompson (Wendy Roberts), David Thompson (Donna), Barry Wilson (Lori McGuire), Patti McLaughlin (Owen Green) and Carolyn Wilson; her grandchildren, Owen Thompson, Blair McLaughlin (Kristi Thorburn), Cameron McLaughlin (April), Michael McLaughlin and Haley Wilson; and her great grandchildren, Mason McLaughlin, Isla McLaughlin and Lucy McLaughlin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
