He was predeceased by: his father Juel Olson; and his brother-in-law Donald Latimer. He is survived by: his mother Doreen Olson of Dryden; his wife Cindi Latimer; his children, Becky Fediuk (Nick) of Dryden, Aaron Olson (Raelene) of Thunder Bay, Analyssa, Steffen and Timothy Van Haesendonck of Dryden; his grandchildren, Brandon, Nolan, McKenna (Luca Fediuk), Jacob, Caitlyn (Mary Olson) and Benny (Lucy Van Haesendonck); his sisters, Debbie Sheppard (John) of Pangman, SK, Cathy Bullock (Doug) of Dryden and Lisa Kerekes (Lorrie) of Toronto, ON; and his siblings-in-law, Gary Latimer (Rhonda) of Nova Scotia, Todd Powassin (Kim) of Windigo Island, Kevin (Friela) of Red Deer, AB, Ron Latimer of Saskatoon, SK, Maureen Powassin of Windigo Island, Ella Barkman (Timothy) of Sachigo Lake and Wilma Latimer of Oxdrift. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
