She was predeceased by: her husband Lewis Peterson; her granddaughter Kira Taylor; her parents, Stanley Piper and Ardell Piper; and her brother Russell.

She is survived by: her children, Gayle (late Charlie), Gurney, Ruth (Jerry Wojcik) of Burford, Carol (George Popovich) of Nanaimo, B. C., Luanne (Jerry Courtemanche) of Salem and Mark (Nikki) of Drumbo. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
