He was predeceased by: his father Wiebren Hoeksma; his stepfather Frank; and his mothers-in-law, Helen Daymond and Maureen Lewis. He is survived by: his mother Dieuwke "Dorothy"; his wife Linda; his stepchildren, Jeremy Desat and Brittany Desat (Tony Vanderlei); his grandchildren, Owen, Keagan, Makenna and Gryphon Maynard; his siblings, Andy Hoeksma (Marilyn) of Port Lambton and Irene Davelaar (Dan) of Lyndhurst; his stepsiblings, Anne Foekens (Adrian) of Thunder Bay, Elly MacKinnon (Steve) of Thunder Bay, John, Frank, Linda Keats (Dan) of Swansea Point, B. C. and Yvonne George (Pat) of Wallaceburg; his siblings-in-law, Bryan Lewis (Tracy) of Chatham, Nancy Bowes (Scott) of Chatham and Mike Clouthier (Mariette) of Amherstburg; and his father-in-law Robert Lewis (Dorothy) of LaSalle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
