He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Highgate and Corrine Highgate (Carter). He is survived by: his wife Darlene Highgate (Sims); his children, Lee Highgate (Sandra) of Dresden, Darlene Handsor (Tony) of Chatham and Lisa Highgate-Friday (Carl) of London; his grandchildren, Danielle (Ryan), Brandon (Jasmin), Katherine and Alex; his great grandchildren, Tacoma, Chase, Ellie, Antonio, Liam and Marcus; and his siblings, John Highgate (Louise), Sara Sims (late Frank) and Sherman Highgate (Elaine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
