She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Short and Beatrice Short (Ayrheart); her husband Leonard Bedell; and her siblings, Wayne Short and Verlane Bresett.

She is survived by: her children, Connie McCarty (Greg), Elwood Bedell (Jackie), Cindy Stokes (Andrew), Melanie Simpson (Joe), Dean Bedell (Sue), Darcy Bedell (Mary Ann) and Tracy Czarnecki (Pat); and her siblings, Joyce Stinson and Gerry Caven (Bruce). She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
