He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Roberts and Dora Roberts (Gould). He is survived by: his wife Joan Roberts (Searson); his sons, Bill Roberts Jr. (Becky) and John Roberts; his grandchildren, Nicole (Dwayne) and Josh (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Zander, Brooklyn, Trenton, Zachary and Emily; and his siblings, Sharon Goetz (late Sandy), Jim Roberts (Ellen) and Tom Roberts (Diana). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
