He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Hutchison and Hazel Hutchison; his brother-in-law Ken Giles; his nephews, Dick Tanner and Steven Hutchison; and his great-niece Brylee Atkinson.

He is survived by: his siblings, Kay Giles, Pauline (Allen Mainland), Earl (Kathy Hutchison), Harvey (Joy Hutchison), Brian (Brenda Hutchison) and Stuart (Myrna Hutchison). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
