Ron Bates Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ron Bates (Drayton, Ontario), who passed away on November 15, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bates and Jean Bates (Whale); and his parents-in-law, Ronald and Carole Dellaire (Robinson). He is survived by: his wife Darlene Bates (Dellaire); his sons, Michael Bates (Neola Doyle), Cody Bates (Krista) and Dylan Bates; his grandchildren, Olivia, Brooke, Liam and Evan; his siblings, Dianne, Laverne Lichty of Elmira, Dorothy and Allan Cherrey of Drayton; his siblings-in-law, Ron, Barb Dellaire of Milton, Mannix, Donna Dellaire of Delhi, Bruce Dellaire of Windsor, Rona Dellaire of Windsor, Tim Buchan of Windsor, Rory Dellaire of Windsor and Neva Shaw of Windsor; his extended family, Paula Ferreira, Rick, Cecilia Brouwer, Justin Brouwer, Michelle Mc Ginn and Rebecca Williams; and his caregivers, Jane and Erin. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Elmira Branch 469 Restoration Fund.
