He was predeceased by: his child Weybrandt Nieuwhof; his parents, Klaas Nieuwhof and Tjitske Nieuwhof (Bergema); and his siblings, Abraham Nieuwhof (Bram), Roelof Nieuwhof, Annie Nieuwhof Hofstra and Doetie Nieuwhof Greidanus.

He is survived by: his spouse Akke "Agnes" Nieuwhof (Bakker); his children, Clarence, Diane Nieuwhof of Drayton, Wilma, Brent Flinkert of New Liskeard, Mike and Suzanne Nieuwhof of Courtice; his grandchildren, Justin, Rebecca Mol, Colin, Ashley Mol, Chelsey Nieuwhof (Brooks Weber), Quinton, Stephanie Mol, Trevor Nieuwhof and Steven Nieuwhof; his great grandchildren, Annabelle, Declan, Hailey, Eden and Aurora; and his siblings, Jante Nieuwhof, Hendrik (Tjipkje), Pieter (Baukje Nieuwhof), Albertje Halma Nieuwhof and Marten (Marja Nieuwhof). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Royal Terrace Residents Council or the Community Christian School, Drayton would be appreciated by the family.
