He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Violet Katerberg; his grandson-in-law Logan Green; his parents, Berend Katerberg and Jacoba Katerberg; his sisters, Jean (Al Kiers), Minny and Kars Kiers; his parents-in-law, Geert and Femmie Martens; and his siblings-in-law, Hill Engelage, Gary Donkersgoed Albert (Theresa Martens), Sam Terpstra and Betty Martens.
He is survived by: his spouse Roelie (Martens); his children, Bert Katerberg, Frances (Adrian DeBoer), George Katerberg, Joanne (Marte Pronk) and Susan (Todd Collins); his grandchildren, Jason, Katrina Katerberg, Eric DeBoer, Nicole DeBoer, Andrew, Brittney Pronk, Tyler, Leah Pronk, Nic, Emma Pronk, Devon Pronk, Taylor Vokey, Andersen, Macklin, Radek, Daxton, Esme and Layne; and his siblings, Matty Engelage, Fenny Donkersgoed, John and Mary Katerberg.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Drayton Christian Reformed Church (88 Main St E, Drayton, ON N0G1P0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
As expressions of sympathy donations to World Renew, Palmerston Hospital Foundation MRI, or the Community Christian School, Drayton would be appreciated by the family.
