Arend Flinkert Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arend Flinkert (Drayton, Ontario), who passed away on June 15, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Berend Flinkert and Wiechertje Flinkert; his son-in-law Ross Kraehling; his sister Margaret Dobben; and his brothers-in-law, Eddy Van Staalduinen, Rev. Peter Praamsma and Bert Dobben.

He is survived by: his wife Augustina "Audrey" Flinkert (Praamsma); his children, Lisa Kraehling (John Seehaver) of Grand Valley, Wilma Flinkert (Henry Smith) of Edmonton, Maria (Henk), Henk Pastink of Conn and Brent; his grandchildren, Arend Kraehling (Krystal), Adam Kraehling (Meghan), Anthony Kraehling (Jess), John Henry Klaassen (Erica), Whitney Farnkoff (Eric), Reba Pastink (Eric), Gerrit Pastink, Dina, Hannah, Alyssa and Sophia Flinkert; his great grandchildren, Jakob, Benjamin, Evelyn and Reid; his siblings, Bill of Alberta, Barb Flinkert of Alberta, Sonja of Alberta, John VanAnkum of Alberta and Hank Flinkert of Alberta; his siblings-in-law, Hilde Van Staalduinen of Burlington, Sannie, Nico Eggerhos of Ottawa, Auke, Cathy Praamsma of Lakefield, Lucy and Jim Veenstra of Drayton; his friend John VanStraaten; and his son Flinkert Farms (Wilma).

To follow the restrictions due to Covid 19 a Private Family Funeral Service of will be held in the Drayton Reformed Church.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
