She was predeceased by: her husband Douglas Cameron Merkley; her son Ian; her siblings, Kenneth Barber and Agnes Woodward; and her brother-in-law Fred Woodward.

She is survived by: her children, Christy (Gary), John and Robert (Susan); and her grandchildren, Jillian, Cameron, Rebecca (Jeremy) and Victoria. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
