He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Mabel Bushey and Adelore Precival Bushey; and his brother Daniel Gordon Bushey. He is survived by: his sisters, Ruby Kennedy (Neil), Penny Kerr (John) and Judy Ferrie (Randy); his uncle Ken; his nephews, Ryan Ferrie and Dr. Christopher Ferrie; and also Randy.
